Hello. A question for all of you who love to cook today.

What is your favourite herb or spice?

I think I'd have to go with basil as my favourite herb, it makes even plain old cheese on toast taste like you did something special. Cardamom is my favourite spice, the smell reminds me of traveling through Asia.

I like quite a few, so it's hard to pick one. Three of them are rosemary, basil, and oregano.

Cinnamon would be my favourite. Love the combination of cinnamon and apple.

Also like cumin and oregano.

It really hard to say as it depends what it goes with. If I can cheat and go with a spice blend, then a good authentic Harissa.

I like them all. Seriously, I really do....well, not a big cilantro fan.
I guess I'd have to pick cinnamon, simply because I can do so much with it.

I wasn't sure if coffee is considered a spice so I looked it up and, yes, coffee is a spice. I also love ceylon cinnamon.

Otherwise, I have a hard time picking. Garlic, if that's acceptable (not sure if it really qualifies). Otherwise, nutmeg.

I would say Garlic salt gets used more often than anything except salt and pepper.

I wasn't sure if coffee is considered a spice so I looked it up and, yes, coffee is a spice. I also love ceylon cinnamon.

It is also the best cinnamon to take to regulate your blood sugar. The other cinnamon is Cassia and that is used mostly for it's flavor (it has some benefit, but Ceylon is best). Not a diabetic, but a sugar junkie and I use Ceylon cinnamon on those bad days. Hopefully, I can kick the sugar addiction soon.

I have to say Cinnamon and Ginger are my favorite spices. However, I take herb supplements and love taking a Ginger &Tumeric combo-it is good for inflammation. I feel much better after taking it.

I probably use garlic, salt and pepper the most. If garlic counts. But I mostly just follow recipes.

If coffee is a spice then it's my hands down winner. I also love cinnamon. The Vietnamese cinnamon from King Arthur Flour is wonderful stuff. Vietnamese Cinnamon - 3 oz.

Cinnamon and I won't add anything about using Ceylon because it is true and if you are using Cassia or Saigon Cinnamon you should try to switch.

Such a tough question! I would say rosemary (especially when mixed with garlic) is my favorite, but basil isn't too far behind.

Right now I'm on a big black salt kick. It's pink Himalayan salt that has been cooked over a furnace which not only makes it high in iron, but adds sulfur giving it an eggy taste. Sadly, this means it smells like farts every time you use it, but I've gotten addicted to the taste. I think in India it's referred to as kala namak.

Rosemary. I don't use it much, but I love it. If I went with what I have in my cupboard, you really can't go wrong with just plain old salt.
