Since I started restricting my sodium a few years ago some things are just too salty now! I've always preferred unsalted pretzels and cut the salt in recipes. It's just more noticeable now.😖
I went that route with sugar, and I have to admit things like store bought cookies, bakery items, or breakfast cereals (with a few exceptions) make my teeth itch. When I bake a cookie or cake recipe, I usually use half the sugar and it turns out delicious.

Thanks I hope he has an easy time with this. He says the hook are bugging his gums. He did good getting them on though. I did notice a few adults in there getting theirs adjusted so that was nice to see.
Not sure if it will help for the gums, but my braces used to bother the inside of my cheeks terribly and the wax the orthodontist gave helped a ton.

Braces are kind of rough but they do get a little better after they've been on for awhile. I had a more difficult time with the retainers I was supposed to wear after they were off - I ultimately decided I was okay if my teeth shifted a little bit.

He came home with a whole bag of goodies including a whole new fancy Sonicare toothbrush after i bought him one last week! Theres 2 things of wax in there that i hope she explained how to use. So far he hasn’t tried that but he’s only eaten soup and a smoothie. She was wearing braces too and seemed good with him.

Watching him brush his teeth tonight was making me nervous. 😅 Hes been taking some Advil so hopefully we get through this part ok. I have no frame of reference for how easily anything might be damaged. He’s missing his cliff kids protein bars and cheezits. But that Lipton Noodle Soup was a big hit.

I am. For one thing, I don't really like herbs or spices or any unusual flavor which eliminates a lot of foods. Every year I print 52 market lists in January, because I know that I am going to buy the same foods over and over, so it is only a matter of what needs to be replaced.

This has nothing to do with not eating enough food.;)

I have actually had waiters in restaurants which we frequent just bring me the same food without taking the order as I always have a go to item or two.

I loved cafeterias when more of them were up and running because you could get a little dish of this or a little dish of that.
You sound like me a bit. Except that I consider myself an extreme picky eater. I've had issues with food since I was born. My mother told this story that when she would feed me formual I would projectile vomit. The doctor didn't beliee her, oh you're just a new mom, so she took me and a bottle and said here! feed her! And I projectile vomited all over him. I forget what it was she had to feed me, may have been goats milk.

And I really don't like most seasonings and spices. If I go to restaurants and order something like a steak I ask them to leave the seasonings off.

When I was working, I went to lunch at Wendy's most days. It was right down the road and very convenient to get away for awhile. Quite often they would have the meal ready before I even walked in the door. I also like the buffets like Golden Corral. It was a good place to go with other people so we could all get what we wanted.

And like you it has nothing to do with not getting enough to eat, there are just a lot of things I can't eat or don't want to eat.
