Happy Monday. It feels like the seasons are really changing today. The wind this weekend took most of the leaves left on my trees. :sniffle: I am enjoying the migrating birds though. DS thinks the migrating flocks of starlings are hysterical.

What is the farthest from home that you have ever traveled?
(If you go on Google maps and put in your destination you can right click on the red marker and measure distance that way.)

According to Google Maps I've gone about 1,500 miles as the crow flies. I'm not a huge travel fan. I enjoy destinations well enough; but the travel process is so tiring. So basically I have left the county; but not the continent.

Apparently 9286 miles to Kuala Lumpur. I had to look up the distance between several cities to see which was farthest. I've been lucky to travel quite a bit.

I've been able to travel a good deal, too. My farthest trip was to Indonesia, about 8100 miles from where I live in California.

560 miles, give or take. That was some 23 years ago. Since then, the furthest I have been from home is 103 miles.

The farthest I've been is to Paris, France, from Washington, DC. In the US, the farthest west I've been is Vail, CO. I've traveled quite a bit on the eastern half of the US, from South Dakota to Georgia, and Maine to Texas. I love sightseeing and visiting historical sites.

Gone on some treks across a few states and one or two Canadian provinces going N/S, but not nearly enough times. I'm no good at distance (or google maps), but it was somewhere between 100 miles and 100,000.

(Now, the farthest I go from home is just under 70 miles and I cry like a homesick baby the entire way. :wavey:)

I went to San Francisco in 2017. It was the first time I had been on a plane since 1999. According to Google, San Francisco is about 2000 miles from Minneapolis. The next farthest I've been would be to my grandparents' house in Florida which is about 1700 miles.

The longest trip in distance I took (driving) was from Boston, Massachusetts to Houston then to San Antonio which is about 2040 miles/ 3283 kilometers.

The next longest distance was from Boston, Massachusetts to Nassau, Bahamas (flying) about 2012 kilometers/1250 miles.

I am getting ready to go to bed and hubby can not remember his Google Maps password. I will have to figure out the actual distance later. I flew from Chicago, IL to Rome, Italy in 1995. That is the farthest I have ever traveled.
