I've done 20. Never played games or was into myspace or aol and columbia house ( there were places to buy records). Funny they did not mention record players. They don't teach cursive anymore?

I'm not into social media either and to answer your question - no, sadly they don't teach cursive anymore. :frown: They stopped it approx. 14 years ago due to technology choices and many students can't read cursive either.

I also use cursive. 👍 They say you remember and retain more information if you write it down.
I have found this to be so true. I do Amazon Flex in my free time (delivering packages) and I have to number and sort the packages so I can find them easily in my car and I've found that writing them down in a little notebook helps me recognize the address and also remember what the package looks like when I do number them. Because it takes some time I have started just writing the house number and the first three letters of the street name.

I've done everything on the list except having an AOL account. My parents were slow to join the joys of the internet.

I am old! 18 of them for me. I will be 71 in October. Never played Atari. We had it but I don’t like games. Never owned a Walkman either since I was to cheap to buy one.

One of our local libraries offered a cursive course last summer and it was instantly full so they offered it a second time and also quickly sold out! I think parents are figuring out they can fill the gaps instead of expecting the school to do everything. But we get nervous thinking we can’t teach.

I’ve taught my kids since we homeschool so it felt more natural to choose to do. DS’s handwriting is still awful but cursive is good for him!

[/QUOTE Love that! I don't speak for any anyone else but I am apparently old! Wouldn't want to go back though.Who ever thought it was a good idea for a first grader to use a fountain pen ......... beats me😂 I am still blown away that they don't teach cursive. They made an incredible big deal of cursive years ago.I started with cursive in first grade.

I never had a MySpace or AOL account. I don't think I ever personally ordered from Columbia House either but maybe my mom bought something for me?

I did learn cursive but am terrible at it now. I can read it well though, useful in my line of work, lol.

I'm 44.
