I'm going for an easy one (on my end) today. I saw this on my Facebook feed, so I figured I'd use it for today's question.

To add to the little game, how old are you? Or what generation do you belong to if you don't want to say your age.

I am 38 and have done 21 of the 24 things listed. The ones I haven't done are ordered from Columbia House, played an Atari, and used a typewriter. Oddly I actually own a typewriter (it was my grandpa's), but I've never used it.

I'm coming in at 19. I've been feeling very nostalgic lately. I really miss the days when some those things were the norm. Except for the telephone cord. For whatever reason, people always blame me when tangled. Why me, I ask? Why me?

Only ones I haven't done are played an Atari (zero interest in arcade games) ordered from Columbia House (never heard of it, but looking it up and seeing it sold mail-order records, Mum bought lots of LPs from World Record Club, a UK based mail order company) or had an AOL address (again, I don't know how much that was used here).

As for faxes, they're hardly out of date - when GPs have to send referrals, that's how they do it. Has to be a paper copy.

I have done 20 of them. I still send and receive faxes for work, it isn't a machine though it is a software program. I do medical billing and faxing is considered more secure than secure email. It is easier as well because there are so many secure email programs with different encryption. You run into issues with opening emails because of software compatibility issues. The other four are things that were around I just didn't use them. I am 68

22 out of 24. I never owned a Walkman or had a MySpace account, but then, after all, I was born during Harry Truman's first term as President. I guess that qualifies me as old.

All of them and some I still do make use of. I still like my dictionary - it's very handy when the internet goes poof! I still do postcards. I still use cursive as I do a lot of things by hand first -there is something to be said about brainstorming and problem solving by hand sometimes. :-D

Most importantly there are still paper maps around me.

I will use ... correctly and incorrectly until the day I die!

Yes, I'm 100% born and raised with the wild ones - Gen X

I also use cursive. 👍 They say you remember and retain more information if you write it down.

I still use cursive as well. I am not into electronic notes which I am sure is a generational thing. I also can write in cursive quicker than printing because it is what I got used to.

I sang that part of your post. 🤣 I remember dialing that number, then immediately hanging up, thinking I was such a dare devil!

but my dial up was so slow and it seemed someone was always needing to use the phone.
I remember having an issue with my dial up connection and didn't have a cellphone then. So I would call support they would change something, then I would have to hangup try again then call again. Never did get it fixed. Cable had started with broadband connections so I had that installed and gave up on dial up.
