I use whatever detergent is on sale, Borax (I can't stand the smell of bleach) and Suavitel fabric softener.

There's a borough ordinance against clotheslines which I think is dumb. Wind and solar power is the best. I do keep a clothes rack on my back porch, though. There's nothing against those.

I've used era liquid he ever since I got my first front loader...gain liquid fabric softener.I have a lint lizard that I got at WalMart years ago and it attaches to the hose of my vacuum.I pull out the lint screen on my dryer and clean all that out,and my husband cleans out the vent,etc.Works like a charm!
