~ Today online chat and text message often come abbreviated. I always know when communicating with those over 50 y/o — they actually spell words . :hellocomputer:
I have never gotten into all the abbreviations, I guess it is all the time spent diagramming sentences and taking spelling tests. Younger people are annoyed when someone doesn't use the abbreviated lingo in text messages. I am a baby boomer and we were the generation that so annoyed the previous generation, now we are on the other side.

I am very concerned that younger generations aren’t getting grammar lessons in school. “Gonna”, “wanna” and ”tryna” show up way too often in posts.
I agree. I see it way too often. Along with the improper use of apostrophes.

Even when I text, I try to use proper grammar.
