Good morning!
And Happy Friday! It's been a long week and I'm ready for the weekend.

I think we'll have pizza tonight for dinner. Probably delivery pizza from a local place; I really like their pizza and their stromboli. I like green peppers, onions, and 'shrooms on my pizza. Rick is more of a meat eater and he likes to have lots of sausage and pepper with green pepper and 'shrooms. Both of us really like extra cheese and not just mozz. We also like provolone on our delivery pizza. For delivery, Rick is happy with Papa John's. I like Rocco's, which is always my choice.

So my question today is: What do you want on your pizza? And what is your favorite pizzeria? Is it a chain or is it a local place?

I absolutely love pizza. I always have a few slices in my freezer!

I live in an originally Italian City. Lots of pizza places here. We also have the chains.

I am a regular at one of the local beach joints. They deliver and have a special on Tuesdays. After 4pm, the time you call is the price of the large plain pizza.

I usually have mushrooms on my pizza; occasionally, I will have mushrooms and roasted red peppers; or just plain cheese. You do not have to ask for extra cheese because this place loads it up.

There is another, more famous pizza joints down the beach--just pizza, nothing else. This one is a mainstay and is kind of famous. Old fashioned, thin crust...usually a bit on the overdone side...but really good...that is of my childhood memories of hanging out at the beach during the summer and having a slice of pizza and a coke for lunch...this place is always busy.

I love pizza. Unfortunately, most pizza here in Florida is

We have all the chains and I hate them all. We have a local chain that is just OK. I grew up eating NY pizza so I became a bit of a snob I guess. I'd rather eat nothing than bad pizza.

When I do eat it, I like sausage and onions on it.

I'm boring - I like cheese pizza :) But if I do have something on it, I really like green olives, but only when it's not deep-dish.

Since I live in the suburbs now I usually go to a chain. Giordano's is my one of choice and I usually get Chicago deep dish pizza from there. When I lived in the city, I liked this local place that was simply called John's Pizzeria. They had what they referred to as "thick-crust pizza", so not thin but not pan ether. That's what I usually got there. Green olives, extra cheese, light sauce, pie cut :)

It's Dominoes for us but since we live out in the boonies I have to pick it up. We like thin crust pepperoni & mushroom extra cheese. I like supreme pizza but no one else in our house does we usually get a meat and olive pizza also! Pizza Hut pan pizza is also pretty good but more fattening I'm on a diet Again!

I can't remember when I last ate pizza - its literally been years. Being coeliac doesn't exactly help - most gluten free bread based products are simply :nausea: :cringe: , and all the pizza bases I've found for dad are way too oily for me. If I ever were to have a pizza again, I'd skip the cheese altogether and just have veggies on it!

Can you get Udi's products where you are? DD's BF is GF and I bought Udi's GF baguettes to go with Thanksgiving dinner and they were really good. The texture was a little different but they were good enough that I'd try their other stuff.

I can only get a very limited range of Udi's products here. Their bagels, whilst nothing like the 'real deal' from a specialist bakery (or my kitchen ;) ), are pretty good. They're just about the only gf bread product I'll eat!

There is a place here that does wood fired pizza and that is my favorite.  I usually get sausage and green bell peppers.  Of course it isn't a delivery place and it is a bit of a drive to get there, they also aren't cheap so it's an occasional treat.

I usually just look at the chain places on the internet, find the best deal and order from there.  All of the chain places are pretty much alike.  I used to like the thick crust but now I like the thin crust.  I think I made myself switch because of trying to cut out a few calories.  In time I either convinced myself or got used to the thin crust and I prefer it now.

I grew up in Chicago and I love Giordano's pizza!  I try to get some whenever I go back.

In CA there are some ok pizza places.  We usually switch it up w/local pizza places.  Palo Alto has a Chicago Pizzaria which is pretty good.

My favorite is thin crust with sausage and mushrooms.  sometimes green pepper.  My kids like cheese and DH likes pepperoni.

- Black olives
- Pepperoni
- Cheese
- Bacon

And Feta cheese if I am in the mood for a "Mediterranean"  style pizza.

Though I can enjoy a genuine Italian pizza, if of course, it is made well!

My favorite is a veggie pizza with anchovies. I also love black olives and green olives together on pizza. Can you tell I like my pizza a little salty?

Most pizza places are just okay. Really unless it's over or undercooked, it's difficult to mess up a pizza if decent ingredients are used. But some places make just unbelievably good pizza - a real OMG! situation it's so delicious. Unfortunately, there's not a place like that here but if you are ever in Cambridge, Massachusetts, look up Armando's. Toronto also has some incredible pizza places. Funny, I didn't like the pizza very much in Florence, Italy, since they pour olive oil all over the top, it was a bit much for me.

I usually order from an Italian Restaurant which make the best pizza, it's called Papa Joe's.  They have all kinds of Italian meals and sandwiches also and all are very good.  I usually get pepperoni and mushrooms.

Pam, we also have a Papa John's but in this area Joe's is better.

UMMMMMM PIZZA!

My favorite, is the Grandma Pie made by a local pizzeria called Plum Tomato.  It's a take out joint mostly. They make great pies in the style of typical NY pizza (the best in the world IMHO).

A Grandma pie is kind of made "backwards".  It's a square thin crust pie, with the cheese put directly onto the dough, sauce on top of them and sprinkled generously with Romano cheese and fresh basil once baked. I think there may be more garlic used than in a typical sauce too.

My go-to for a regular pizza is with pepperoni and I really like white pies too but honestly I like pizza almost anyway (even anchovies) except with pineapple/ham.  That, is just wrong lol

I too, am a pizza snob so no chains for us.  I grew up in Brooklyn and have lived/worked in NYC nearly my whole life so I'm pretty spoiled for pizza.

i like to mix cheeses on my pizzas too -- my favorite being mozz and asiago cheeses. i like cheese pizza, pepperoni pizza, and sausage pizza is okay too. i like a good veggie and cheese pizza too. i prefer 'regular' crust, no thin crust or deep dish style for me. i also like a good amount of sauce, no dry-tasting pizza for me either. i like extra cheese, but not so it's like a chunk of melted cheese over the pizza.

i really like a good pizza margherita too!

verboten are:  washers (aka, black olives), anchovies, mushrooms -- unless on a veggie and cheese pizza, and thank you no to unusual things like pineapple.

out here in 'the sticks' there are no pizza places -- either to pick up, or delivery. so i make my own dough/crust, add the toppings, and bake my pizzas in the oven.

The grandma pie sounds like a deep-dish! Only square.

Actually, I think my absolute favoritest pizza was one I made myself. I had home-made alfredo sauce, I could have tons of that on it, lol. mozzarella, grilled mushrooms, fresh spinach. Yum yum yum!
