Question of the Day : Friday 6 Dec

Filling in for Norachan who is filling in for someone who may like to take over Friday's QOD.

There are a lot I don't know, but I think those of you from a different hemisphere will know most of them.

I have no problem choosing though... it absolutely had to be Felix! I remember him from my childhood and can still sing his song.
When I first started watching this is was in black and white!...
He's magical and can fix anything! Who wouldn't want to take him home?

I liked Krazy Kat if a cartoon strip counts. I seem to recall Snagglepuss was kinda classy, with those cufflinks.

Sylvester for me. I barely remember the Felix cartoon, I was so small when it aired. I liked Puss in Boots but don't really fancy a sword-wielding cat in the house. But Sylvester - I loathed Tweetie Pie and even drew Sylvester eating him once. I'd like to give him a life free of that rotten bird and owner and dog!

This is a tough one for me, we had a cat named Sylvester but I watched Felix cartoons as a young kid and loved the Cheshire cat too. Of course, Garfield is a favorite as well. So if I had to pick one the winner is...............Felix!

I’ll have to choose Garfield for my son. Thats his current favorite to check out of the library and I’ve been searching eBay for a book lot for a good price. Plus both love lasagna!

Very close tie with Garfield just edging out Puss in Boots. I have always found the Garfield comics to be consistently funny, but I also love "the ginger hit man" with the big soulful eyes...when it worked for him. My first cat, Daddy Cat, was really a Garfield. On the morning of one of the earthquakes, he got up and went to his usual food bowl to wait for his breakfast, come hell or high water. My current Rikki is a little bully who has very sensitive feelings and runs to his mom when someone stands up to him.

This is exactly why I too did not choose Sylvester: he never gets to eat his bird. Ditto Wiley E. Coyote, for that matter. Nobody’s mentioned Hobbes, who although again is a comic strip cat, has one of the most loveable, huggable tummies.
