This is probably silly to worry about, but my apartment has smelled like smoke for a good half hour, give or take. There was something burning off the bottom of the (electric) stove and it filled the apartment with a fog. Not enough to set off the alarm, but enough that it wasn’t crystal clear in the air. I opened the balcony door and also the swung the front back and forth and the clarity has come back, but it still smells like smoke. It’s clearing, but very slowly. And unfortunately it’s going to take longest in my back bedroom that gets next to no air flow and just happens to be where my baby hangs out. Can that smoke hurt my cat? Or would it have to be a full-fledged fire? I have no idea how much or how little of that could harm a cat.
