I come home.....my cat is meowing.....his tail is twitching...... I think he is telling me to feed him even though he has food...... typical.......I tell him "No".......I walk away and he grabs my legs and bites me.....why? I think he wants a treat and is trying to control me......he knows what that that word is (my mistake for teaching him that).......

Hi!
How old is your cat?

he grabs my legs and bites me
Don't let him do this - it will turn into a very bad habit. Hiss at him, clap your hands together loudly, use the word No, say OW like a kitten would if hurt - you're working to impress on him that this is unwanted behavior. Why cats do this could be several things.

Do you feed him canned food?

Thanks.....He is 7 years old....mine since 8 weeks.....I feed him dry food..... And I was raised with cats and dogs so I know how cats can be with fresh food.......I kinda knew what he was telling me from his body language....I told him "NO"......he rubbed on my legs
..... when I walked away is when he grabbed my legs and bit me.......

More information please. How old is your cat and how long have you had him? How long had he been alone? Longer than usual? Maybe he was wanting attention if he was lonely. Obviously biting is not a good thing was this the first time?

Had since a baby.....I was home all day.......Last night he was meowing when i went to bed.....I think he wants fresh food always....even though I gave him fresh food earlier......He was meowing and went under my bed ......as I climbed into bed he grabbed my legs and tried to bite me..... eventually he ended up sleeping at the foot of my bed.

His name is "Trouble"....... But he really does not live up to his name....He is a good cat.....When I first got him it was bad times I was going through.....My son was 8.....and I had a Rottweiler dog (my first child)....So I kept the dog and cat apart for a few weeks......My dog was sooooo sweet but I was afraid my dog would eat the cat..... Turns out my dog let the cat be the boss...... Trouble the cat was eating dog food in this picture and the big mean Rottweiler did nothing but watch...😜

Sounds about right to me my kids grew up with two Rotties. They are so gentle when treated right I love them. Anyway about the cat I think he's getting overexcited when he wants your attention.
