Question about cat health

Hello! I have a one year old tuxedo kitty! For the past 24 hours, he has thrown up while bile a couple times, but he continues to play, eat, drink, poop, and sleep as normal. He just has been dry heaving every 45 minutes-ish but nothing comes up. My question is, when should I take him to the vet? If it was a major issue he would not be eating and drinking right?

It could be a hairball. Put a blob of vasaline on his paw or nose for him to lick off, this should help him pass it. If he is still heaving tomorrow I would contact your vet just to be on the safe side.
