Since I cannot get the new indoor cat to the vet for tapeworms during this time, I am considering using Profender which I believe is available without a prescription from Canada. Of course, I read all the reviews which means that you see those whose cat reacted or where unhappy with it. Any feedback, negative or positive. I have usually had my cats get a shot of Droncit and don't think that I can pill this cat yet, but using Advantage on her was not an issue. No fleas on her or the other animals and I think that this happened when she still lived outside. Any safe waiting period between using Advantage and Profender? Does it actually expel the tapeworm as some people described finding in the litter box?

I have no idea about profender but I'm also in Canada and I've been able to take my cat to the vet for an emergency (eye infection) and they even let me take my new kitten for shots. I just can't go in with them. You might be able to find a vet in your area that is willing to see him!
