Hi Everyone,

So I am feeding both of my cats Primal and Stella & Chewy's freeze dried foods. I just have a question if anyone knows if I can grind all of the nuggets and store them? and then just put it in a bowl add water and feed them? or do I have to break them every time for a feeding?
It would make life a lot easier if I was just able to throw them into a food proccesor, grind them all and store them for future feedings.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Thank you :)

I think what you mean is that you want to (for example) grind up all the nuggets in a bag of Primal and then store all those little pieces, right? I think it would be absolutely fine. The only one thing is that I'd probably want to use a very air-tight container because there would be more surface area to absorb moisture when it's humid.

Do you already put Primal in a food processor? If so, which flavors? We only feed the pork but it's often very hard so I wonder how well it would even crumble in the machine! (Of course a lot depends on the batch of food and the food processor but I'm just curious!)

Yes thats what I want to do and no I didn't do it yet, I am going to try it tonight. I know what you mean we have the venison one and its hard to break apart. We have the ninja, I can let you know when I do it tonight. I am guessing its going to be a lot better then me trying to break it apart with a fork. I noticed that from Stella and Chewy the chicken flavor is the easiest to break, the rabbit one is also pretty hard.

Yes, please let me know! I have a Cuisinart food processor, which is totally different but who know!?

Foods -- and even batches -- really can differ. Someone at one of my local stores told me he visited the Primal factory (!!!) and that sometimes the difference in texture can be from which part of the batch (the vat!) the pieces were in.

P.S. Good luck with your experiment! :)

i did leave some bigger pieces so when i add water it will absorb quicker.

That does look pretty good! It looms like Primal, right? Which protein? (Just curious since that pork... might be like your rabbit!)
