Elevenfurbabies responded below...Hello! I was doing my daily flea combing and noticed some stuff on Salem's private parts. I do not know if it's a mucus plug or not so I will post a picture. Also an update on the flea situation, It really seems like we are getting rid of them. I will post another picture of today's combing. Should I be worried about the stuff on her private parts?

Good to hear we are getting close to labor! They still have fleas but it's the best it's ever been, no fleas jumping and attacking my feet and the amount of fleas I get off each day is so small and honestly just seems to get smaller. I wish they were as good as gone by now but that isn't the case. I just hope the kittens will be okay even though the flea situation isn't fully gone. She may be having pre-labor discharge. This is common in cats near the end of pregnancy. Nothing to worry about - you’ll probably see more of it.
Are you seeing less fleas still?
So, I had logged out, just excited Salem's getting close to delivery when I had to mention flea issue to hubby, and upon brainstorming following is what I came up with yet not certain it will be feasible as close to labor as mama kitty may be. I doubt she would trust me enough with the life she has had so far to bathe her sadly. She has frontline plus + the spray and I comb her every day and once it's been two weeks since last I sprayed the room with Adams home spray I will do it again. by then the kittens will be here. I am trying my best to get rid of these evil fleas! I also worry the product I put on them would come off if I bathed them even though I doubt I could even bathe Tigger let alone Salem and I can forget about ever trying that with Squirt considering she is semi-feral.So, I had logged out, just excited Salem's getting close to delivery when I had to mention flea issue to hubby, and upon brainstorming following is what I came up with yet not certain it will be feasible as close to labor as mama kitty may be. Remedies and Treatments for Fleas: How to Get Rid of Fleas ...
Remedies for Fleas
One of the first solutions to get rid of fleas from your pet is to bathe them. Wash your pet using Dawn dish soap or a pet shampoo formulated for fleas.
I helped her move the kittens when they were born because it was a bad spot she picked and she lets me pick them up and doesn't seem overly protective of them, she walked out into the bigger room and didn't care that I was picking them up and weighing them so I am happy about that. now the last that was born weighs the least and one is a hog it seems. Here are the weights!Never heard of a cat giving birth in a sink! There's a first for everything, it seems.
You can weigh the kitties when mom will let you without being unduly alarmed. Some mothers are calmer than others. Even if they are skittish, moms usually calm down in a couple days.

I can't really tell them apart I was just focused on weighing them and I did so twice.
106g
110g
109g
119g
101g
One of the 110-109 might be 113 because that is what I got the second time I weighed them. and those are the closest to 113g
Now are these normal weights for kittens that were born 12 hours ago? should I be worried about the runt and does she need supplementing and when should I start on that?

Think we hit the max, waited a while and no new ones and she seems to be settling down all seem to be nursing just fine as of today and the other cats checked them out and seem to be giving Salem her space so I think it will work out. Tried weighing them but the weigher was busted and we have a second but it's dead so tomorrow at 9 we will be buying a battery for it and will weigh them tomorrow morning, I suspect she went into labor sometime around 10 and by about 12:30 she gave birth to what I think was the last one. They are Tiggers and I suspect 2 boys and 3 girls based on the coats. I got some pictures to show and I think I am gonna head to bed, they all seem fine last I checked and I need some sleep.
