I heard that's illegal in some places & you have to prove you own the cat by getting it licensed or something? I'm very glad nobody did that to my cat when she snuck out. I'm sure you have good intentions but where we used to live up the road some lady was trapping cats and they ended up finding like 30 cats in her house. Many were other people's missing pets. Thank God those people got their pets back.They are definitely feral. They sleep and eat here, they just don’t let you get close. They were literally starving when they showed up. I have neutered and spayed probably a hundred cats in my life. They are SO much better off. The females are no longer having 3 litters in a summer, and the males no longer get into fights with other toms. I have seen some horrible injuries from fights. I had one little female have 3 litters with a total of 17 kittens in one summer before I finally caught her.
