I have a pregnant cat that is due anytime. She was a part feral cat born in our yard last summer and got pregnant. I was able to get her to trust me slowly but she got pregnant and had her three kittens in April. I wasn’t able to reach the kittens (born under shed) until they were about 5 weeks old and started to come out. We brought the mother and her kittens inside our enclosed porch. None have been outside since but the mother cat was pregnant again which I didn’t know. Now she is due any day but just yesterday she started to be aggressive to her 12 week old kittens....the hair would stand up and I heard her growling a little....in turn the kittens got scared and did the same to her....is this normal? Before yesterday she was a very good mother and a very good cat. She hasn’t shown any aggressive behavior to me. She lets me feed and pet her as usual. Right now I have her on the porch and the kittens inside the house.
    Is this normal?

She is probably pushing away the older babies to make room for the new ones. She is surely exhausted from back to back pregnancies. How far along is she? She can still be spayed while pregnant. Probably healthier for her tired body at this point.

But yeah, there comes a time when mother cat needs to teach her kittens to be cats and this involves communication such as hissing and growling.

It’s also time to get the kittens spayed and neutered. Do you need help finding a low cost clinic in your area?

    Thank you for caring!

She is due any day.....no, I won’t take her to be spayed while she’s pregnant, she’s too far along. If I had known she was pregnant in the early stage I would have had it done then.
I’m dealing with cost of getting the kittens shots done thru a low cost clinic at this time...even that isn’t cheap considering three kittens but they will not be going outside, they are all females except one male. He will be the first to get neutered believe me...

You actually want to get the girls done first. Accidents happen, and they can get outside and get pregnant even as early as 4 months.

Are they willing to work with you on cost to get the whole family vaccinated and fixed?

Ok, so do you need help finding someplace to have them spayed and neutered?
