For those who have had pred compounded, what form and flavor did you go for?
I'm thinking an oral suspension at a high concentration so I don't have to use very much.
Krista was prescribed 1 ml of a 15 mg/5ml suspension (so a 5 mg dose) that just tastes horrible. I won't be giving this to her twice a day.
Instead, I was thinking maybe "triple fish" flavor or "chicken" flavor (if there isn't actual chicken protein in the flavoring) at a 25 mg/ml concentration. This way, I would only need to give her 0.20 ml instead of a full 1 mL.
Pill doughs and pill pockets won't work for her because they all seem to contain either chicken protein or xanthan gum. Neither agree with her.
