Hi! There is a possum
coming to my feral feeding station with mange. The usual treatment for wildlife is Ivermectin but because food travels thru a possums intestines so quickly, I’m being told it would be ineffective. Does anyone know what kind of medication I should treat him with?

I love them! After speaking with a couple of rehabbers, they don’t think the possum has mange. She could have had fur pulled off from babies on her back, could be old, have Alopecia or fleas. Mange is very rare in possums. I’m watching carefully & will try Capstar for fleas just in case. It’s a chewable tablet.
