Hello, so my boy has been with me since Oct 2016, and I recently looked up his microchip ID number to see if I could change the name he was under, but instead I found out something much more interesting! Under breed, or said Domestic Shorthair, forest cat mix. After this, I assumed it meant NFC, and I started to notice similarities between the two. He is shorthair, but I do know that the longhair gene is recessive. Any thoughts?

M mycatrory - In the image you uploaded, the facial conformation seems almost round - more like a Siberian Forest Cat than a Norwegian. NFCs have a distinctive triangular face:

and an even more distinctive appetite.

Your big fellow certainly is handsome. Perhaps more photos would help?

Is he very big? Visibly bigger than most cats in neighborhood?

Yes he is actually pretty big at 8 months. When he stretches out, he is so long that he can block my doorway! In comparison to other 8-12-month-old kittens, he pretty much grew past them all.
