I'm trying to think what you could use that wouldn't cost a small fortune, or scare Brody. How about a triangular pillow, normally used for eating/reading/watching TV in bed? Stores like Wal-Mart/Target usually have them. Or a wide, sturdy plant stand made out of wood? Without the plants, of course, and placed at the foot or side of the bed. One of my students has taken in his grandmother's geriatric cat, and has built a "bridge" to his bed with used car tires. When I saw the photos of his solution, I went into hysterics, but it's really clever.

All of this trouble to get Brody into the bed, and I just have to turn around and kick him out
Turns out Brody enjoys sleeping sideways in between us. I woke up to his back leg kicking my head at about midnight last night!
On top of that he drools. I knew he drooled before, but I never noticed how badly. Yuck!
I put him into his own bed a little after midnight when I couldn't get back to sleep from him kicking me. I was reluctant to put him out because Dori was sleeping with us too and I want them to get used to being near eachother, but a girl has got to get her sleep!
He got me back by snoring twice as loud as he normally does.

Here's a fairly low quality picture I took of him with my camera phone for those asking. I have to wait until I get my camera back to take more. We were in the drive thru at the pharmacy and the lady gave him a doggie bone

A big beautiful smile was on that face because his head was on MY pillow which he was probably planning on drooling all over!
