Hello folks, I just signed up. I'm worried that my kitten, Pooch, only eats dry food. She's about 6 months old and I've tried every kind of tin food in the supermarket and also fresh raw meat, but she wont even sniff it!!

I've been reading that the best diet for a cat is fresh raw meat, and I've tried everything to get her to eat it - any suggestions?

You really want to steer clear of fresh raw meat. That is how parasites can be picked up by your kitty. There is nothing wrong with a kitten that only eats dry, in fact, it works in your favor as long as it is quality dry food, and not generic. A diet of just wet food can cause certain types of mouth cancers as the cat gets older. Dry food is good to clean teeth as well as nourish the body. My cats only get dry food unless they are sick, or it is a special occassion. The newest arrivals (I rescue) always get wet food at first as they are usually feral and in pretty bad shape. But normally, I feed Kirkland Dry for all 13 of my kitties.
