Good- a third box is needed,do everything possible to prevent any issues that could result in a competitiveness for resources Perfect!
Awwww, precious darling girlYep. New box in place. Things are covered now. But not putting one in Dynah's back room forces her to come out from there during the day.
Turns out that Callie loves to play at her older age too! She was batting balls around the living room and loves this flag toy that she is clinging on to in her favorite spot to sleep during the day!!
She also wanted my turkey sandwich for a snack too. What an appetite she has!

She is adorable- looks like she's been with you forever and has found exactly where she wants to be- what a heart warming sightThings are good with the girls. Callie has proven to be an incredibly smart older girl. I really think Callie's coming in our house has OPENED Dynah's eyes as to what she is now...a house cat!
A few more Callie pics! I hope to get some better pics with my "real" cameras" soon!

Callie looks very petite,is she a tiny girl( like 8 lbs or so) - hard to tell in photos
Greg- I love hearing about this beautiful Blessing sent your way- you ,me and everyone here is crazy about Dynah but we all know how very hard it is and how much patience it takes to open your heart and home and be longing for the days cuddles and snuggles- AHEAD!!!Hi Kwik. Yes she is very petite. Vet says 6.6 lbs. But she is gaining a little weight back from being inside. Her fur coat is also gaining shine to it. She has a ferocious appetite and will look for hand outs while I eat lunch. She is just a total joy. She will come to me when I call her and follows me around the house. Purring all the time. This morning she showed me just how quick she is while playing with some balls and toys, I mean extremely fast!!! I have been putting her on a chair on wheels and roll her around the house. My Pepper used to love to do that too!
She has been sleeping in my room at night while Dynah roams but she will not be content unless I close my door. Then she can rest knowing Dynah can't get in the room. When it is time for her to get up in the morning she comes onto my bed and will get under the covers with me She is such a loving Cat!
You are correct. It is like she has been with me forever! So content already. It is so heart warming!!! Every morning she follows me to the computer room after her breakfast and lays on the printer right next to me while I do my routine. She is right here now as I type, making biscuits on her little bed on top of the printer, purring the morning away. She has captured my heart hook, line, and sinker!
I am going to try and get some good pics today with my Canon 5DMIII camera!
Till next time, thank you!
Thank you. I was thinking about a gate. I am getting one. Today Callie and I walked in Dynahs room. Dynah watched me petting Callie. Great example. Yes, I have been longing for a love bug like Callie. Seems like it was meant to be and it is soo frustrating after 10+ months that I cannot pet Dynah....yet!Greg- I love hearing about this beautiful Blessing sent your way- you ,me and everyone here is crazy about Dynah but we all know how very hard it is and how much patience it takes to open your heart and home and be longing for the days cuddles and snuggles- AHEAD!!!
You deserve a love like Callie,it makes life more abundant is so many ways- Callie will help Dynah, you'll see- they watch and they learn
I'm thrilled for you my friend- perhaps Callie will feel just as relaxed with a baby gate instead of the bedroom door closed at night- better for Dynah to see Callie & visa versa and yet there's separation- just a thought
Yes-Callie looks the size of my Bella ,just over 7 lbs- too cute!
Keep the photos coming!
I bet you miss Pepper- I'm glad you have another lap cat
I understand completely -you've been wonderful with Dynah and no doubt she adores you Greg, she just doesn't know how to,she's not yet experienced human touch to know what she's missingThank you. I do miss my Pepper girl very much. I think of her all the time.
I got a few good pics of Callie this morning. I hope to post them soon!
Greg- that little pink nose and mouth are totally irresistible.... she is a doll face with gorgeous green eyesTY Kwik. Yes Dynah is a tough girl. But she is letting me get closer to her centimeter by centimeter
But she is getting there and I love her just the same. Today, I was right next to her in her cattree open perch while opening the window. I mean less than 3 feet away and eye level while I was standing there. This type of interaction took many months for her to become comfortable with. But when I move my hand closer to her to steal a pet she backs up. Hopefully Callie will bring her over the final stage of real touching.
So I did get some good pics of Callie to share. Here you go folks. She is just a one of a kind Cat with a HUGE personality!!!

Thats the simplest way and never fails..... ferals do best with a little help less options to avoid- while eating is the most opportune time.I have always tamed ferals (a little anyway) by standing by them when they are eating, leaning over and stroking them, or trying at least in the beginning, they are fast! Usually they eventually let you touch them, my outside Jet even lets me run my hands up his tail and over his face now. Mama cat is so feral she won't even let me close, but she comes running for food! She also rolls all over the place when IU talk to her, I guess I get what I get and should be thankful.....
Oh so true. That pink in her nose and mouth just begs to be kissed right? I could look at her face all day. And those eyes are just pearlescent . Really just beautiful!Greg- that little pink nose and mouth are totally irresistible.... she is a doll face with gorgeous green eyes
You don't have to move your hand in- next time your opening the window start leaning in sideways with your upper body, even a slight brush with your shoulder or triceps...
Will she eat while your standing near yet?
That is a great suggestion. You don't have to move your hand in- next time your opening the window start leaning in sideways with your upper body, even a slight brush with your shoulder or triceps...
That's good that Dynah can check Callie out from a distance on her terms! So I ordered a baby gate and don't you know, Callie slept all night in the upstairs computer room So I might not need it. Dynah knew she was up there and I don't think she went in that room at all during her roaming. Callie came in my bedroom around 5:30 a.m and fell asleep in her favorite spot.
That is a great suggestion.
Waffles is a semi-feral, and it took months to progress. I initiated very little for awhile, letting him make the advances toward me. I didn't look toward him at first when he was slowly approaching, as in coming toward me, but did the slow blinks to him when some distance away. When he was ready, putting his food bowl closer to me bit by bit helped, when he started eating in my presence- I'd sit while he ate. Luckily, now he is a loving velcro cat- after 8 years. Though I still can't just walk up to him to pet him, he has to come to me. That's fine with me. He makes up for it by snuggling on his timing . And forget picking him up, never, even though I've worked on it. Then Ziggy has been with people indoors all her life, but 90% of the time keeps her distance. She will sit by me for a few minutes for pets and brushing a time or two per day purring up a storm, then is hanging out elsewhere. Just not a close in cat. Personalities!

You are a gem for taking these two furbabies in.
Is it perspective, or does she have a rrreeeaaalllly long tail?
Thanks TT! Yes as soon as I order a babygate, they begin to figure it out on their own
I thought those back legs were long, too.Thank you for your kind words. I could not have left Callie out during this winter just as I could not have left Dynah out in the cold.
