please help..my cat is poorly!!

Please can anyone help me?? i have a tabby kitten aged 5 months who is normally very lively. yesterday, he was very subdued and when i have had a look at him, the fur around the top and edge of his ears and around his mouth has become very dry and 'crusty'. i have checked him again today and the fur has come away in places. the infected area looks chapped and sore. i have checked on various advisory sites and think this may be 'mange'. can anyone help as this is my very first cat and i so worried about him??

Hi Kim and welcome to the forums.

Your poor little kitty... I think you should get him to the vet ASAP. It can be any number of things. Reading advice on the net is great, but when it comes to diagnosis and treatment always see your vet.

Please don't wait and take the cat to the vet immidiately. I'm worried about him being "subdued" and the quick deterioration.

Please let us know what the vet says!
