Thank you! Part of me thinks I need to stop milking this thread, but then part of me is like "Eh, I'm good until after the honeymoon."

Wedding recap: the day before

I know, out of order, but whatever.

So like, I was super unimpressed with this place my SIL made us nail appointments at. They didn't really talk to me at all, even to introduce themselves. They also kept asking me about a no chip manicure even though I just wanted regular, and then they left me under this fan thing to dry my nails and didn't tell me when I was supposed to be done. And then they were already chipped by the next morning even though I was being careful with them and we had to do emergency repair.

On the other hand, they did do a great job on my toenails and they still look nice a week later.

My mom and I grabbed a fast lunch (we wanted to eat there, but the parking meter only allowed me 15 minutes, so we grabbed to go) and then we gathered up our succulents, old family wedding photos (we used those as a decoration - the venue actually game me the idea!), escort cards, card box, guestbook supplies, etc, and brought them over and gave them to the event coordinator to store overnight (that was a super nice thing about the venue that all that was off my mind the day of!). Then we got ready for the rehearsal and it was so cold I ended up putting a pair of sweatpants under my little white dress for whenever I went outside.

My one bridesmaid was late (which we knew was going to happen because of how much traveling she had to do) and one of the groomsmen and ushers didn't come, but we pretty much got everyone squared on what to do, and then headed over to the little Italian restaurant where my in-laws had planned the dinner. I gave my girls their bridesmaid presents there (again, mostly so I wouldn't have to remember/think about it the day of) and we all just enjoyed a nice time. I was just happy we were able to be there and enjoy each other's company.

And then we pretty much went straight to bed because we were tired.

I'm ashamed to admit I spent a few minutes going "HisLAStineme?" "HisleTANme?" "I wonder how you pronounce that? Must be Polish or something."

And then I realised.....

Lol! You got our faces, but I'm not about to put our actual surnames on a public forum!

That was a good way to spend the day before! It sounds like it was relaxing and lead to a calm beginning the next day. +++++

They did a better job on your toenails? Go figure!!

I think you can easily keep this thread active past the honeymoon! We all want to hear about the wedding photos and they aren’t in yet. We want to hear if the excursions and the ship on your trip.
I also would like to hear about the kitty reports afterwards! I guess they don’t have Hisslastname! :flail:

Definitely till at least after the honeymoon. I know it's Australia, but it's a cruise too, right?
It is! Cruise for the first two weeks and then a jaunt up to Cairns in hopes we might get lucky and see the reef (summer is apparently the worst season for it, alas).

Then we’ll hope for clear skies and no turbulence! If you’re considering diving or snorkeling, waterproof camera/ phone housing! I bet you could find something inexpensive in that area online. I haven’t looked at that stuff in a long time but an inexpensive camera might be preferable over using your phone.

Jcatbird Jcatbird - According to the vet records, Sparkle has Hislastname and Lelia has Mylastname. I don't expect that to change.
Easier to keep it the same, especially as you kept your last name!

Which reminds me...I changed my last name back to my maiden name, and need to change that at the vet's office Friday when Hek goes in for her annual check-up!

Okay, my photographer had been working on another couple's wedding gallery, but she posted this one picture on her facebook and I'm basically obsessed and it's going to be so hard to wait for them all.

I hope I get a few more sneak peaks in the upcoming weeks.

Omg. This is absolutely breathtaking.

I thought — I mean, I do not know what I though. I am speechless. The lighting, the pose. Omg
