Pine pellets went bye bye. They just wouldn't use it. It's fine. Best to find this out when there isn't a problem than when there is and I need a quick solution.

Pine pellet litter users, how often you do a full strain?

That's too bad. Maybe it's really hard when they are already used to one type of litter. The feel and texture of pellets are so different than sands. I hope you find alternatives though.
Oh, I have no issue with what I am using. Just wanted to try something different. It would be nice with less tracking in the floor but it's not so bad that it is a problem. A quick sweep of the tiles or a pass or two with the hand vac on the carpet.

I wanted to mention that my cat loves pine pellets. Her preffered is from Tractor Supply Company, as is ours. Theirs seems like better quality pine all around anytime we have tried others. She has done well with others when needed, but that brand you tried, we got once and trashed, she absolutely hated it.
Clay is a very different texture so they may never like it, but if you ever try it again, I highly recommend one from TSC or anything but the one you already tried.
p.s. I sift box once a day, scoop throughout, and it's usually good until the Sunday that I always change it out fresh on. Could keep going if I wanted but don't need to. Our 20 lb bag lasts awhile!
