Picture of homeless man in NY

Did you see the story of the NYC police officer who bought warm shoes and socks for a homeless man? It just made me cry --- what a wonderful thing to do. This officer should be commended --- but unfortunately there are not enough people who stop to show concern for someone less fortunate.

I didn't see the story, but that was so kind of him.  I think he should be commended, as well.

I think I seen a picture of a police man and a homless man at a gas station on facebook but I don't know if its the same story and its rare to run into nice cops now a days

This guy was the topic of a news story this morning.

He was seen barefoot, and wanting money as his picture was circulated without his permission.

Yes Lana, since it happened in my area it was on the news the night it happened.  What a wonderful thing to do.

I saw it on FB about a week ago so it has really done the tour of the world pretty fast, always nice to see a good deed

I read somewhere that he has an apartment, and he just liked to walk barefoot.. in addition to wanting 'a piece of the pie'.
