Has anyone heard of this cat food or fed it to your babies? I can't get over how few ingredients it has. This is the Beef:

Beef Tripe Formula

Ingredients - Beef Tripe, Beef, Water, Beef Liver, Taurine, Guar Gum

Calories - 990 kcal/kg, 154 kcal/can

They also have Venison, Bison and Salmon.

I know it has Guar Gum in it but I'm looking for another high protein, medium fat low carb without Sodium Selenite to add to my rotation.

Let me know what you think.

I looked into this brand once too and I was excited about it until I realized it didn't meet AAFCO standards. I'm not sure if this is still the case though.

I haven’t heard of Petkind before, but the short ingredient list and high protein looks promising. Some cats are sensative to guar gum, but I don’t think it’s as bad as carrageenan.

I’m glad that Neo23 brought up the point about the AAFCO standards. On the Petkind website, it says that their cat food doesn’t meet the AAFCO standards for growth or maintenance for Vitamin A, D, E, and K, or Thiamine, among a few other things. So, it’s probably okay for intermittent feeding, but not as a cat’s main source of nutrients.

Thanks, I’ll look into it. Maybe it would be good as a once a week cleanse food
