Approximately 51,000 packages of Simply Nourish Dog Food sold at PetSmart are being recalled due to elevated levels of vitamin D.

FDA found the salmonella while looking for the aflatoxins. I would have expected more than a letter, but I suppose that's a big deal.

The recalled “Beef HVM” was distributed in DC, MD, VA, DE, PA, MA, CT, and SC and product was distributed through mail order and direct delivery from 7/27/21 to 8/2/21

Top Quality Dog Food of Hyattsville, MD is recalling “Beef HVM” 1-pound packages due to the potential of Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes. Salmonella, Listeria, can affect animals eating the product and there is risk to humans handling contaminated products, especially if they have not thoroughly washed their hands after having contact with the products or any surfaces exposed to these products.

There are no other Fromm products affected by this recall. The recall was initiated after we discovered, through our own analysis, that these products may contain elevated levels of Vitamin D. We have identified and isolated the error, and in addition to our existing safety process, we have put corrective actions into place to prevent this from happening again.
This voluntary recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Consumers who have purchased Fromm Four-Star Shredded Entrée canned dog food are urged to return the product to your retailer. Consumers with questions may contact the company at 1-800-325-6331 from Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, Central Time, or may contact [email protected].

Consumers should stop feeding the affected products to their dogs.

What was recalled: 2.2-pound packages of Member’s Mark Beef Sticks Dog Treats, UPC #19396-804731, sold since March 1, 2021.

Metal fragments in these dog treat packages could pose a risk to the health and safety of pets eating the treats.

If you have bought any packages of these Member’s Mark Beef Sticks Dog Treats since March 1 of this year, do not feed them to your dog. Instead, discard the products or return them to your local Sam’s Club for a full refund.

The FDA has published a new recall= covers two lots of BioLifePet Liquid Probiotics and LiviaOne Liquid Probiotics. Both product lots are potentially contaminated with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, a bacteria that can infect humans and cause serious illness in some people.
