The Blue ridge food " The products were distributed between Augus 6 2024 August 23 2024 2024. These products were packaged in clear plastic and sold primarily in retail stores located in the States of: [Virginia ,North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts New York State] . "

That means you and your animals have already been exposed to it. If your puppy has gotten sick, or you, now you have another possible cause to look at. I can only wonder how many puppies died from it since it was puppy food not adult dogs who have a slightly better chance of surviving it.

I see no reason to expect this 'dangerous' food business to get better.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a warning after reviewing the 3,637 adverse drug submissions received through March 2024.

88.9% of the submissions were reported by a veterinarian or health care professional.

They looked at the age of the dogs, other medications, and the reported side effects from the drug. According to the review, the three most common signs seen in dogs treated with the drug were ataxia, anorexia, and death.

You have to wonder what chemical they are using on these chews.....

Um... well... They're birds. Aren't they? Isn't that where "bird flu" comes from? Birds? ;) ;) ;)

Okay, being serious, now...

Flocks of ducks and geese are one of the main ways new viruses grow and spread. Waterfowl pick up the viruses and they spread through the population. Those viruses may or may not make the birds sick. Then, when the birds defecate, their feces goes into the environment, usually into the water, where it spreads and infects other animals and people. Then, once established in the human population, the virus takes hold and makes more people sick.

So, yes, scientists often keep an eye on bird populations to see what viruses they are carrying. That's one of the ways scientists develop new vaccines for every year's flu season. They look at bird populations and try to predict which illnesses are likely to spread to humans in the next year.

Since viruses are always changing and mutating, this has to be a repeated process every year.

This is the reason why you see these reports of viruses being found in bird populations. That's one reason why they call it "bird flu."
