First off I'm going to the vet tomorrow, I assure you! Anyway. My cat, a 15 year-old neutered male, has developed some light asthma in the last year that I'm already treating successfully. Other than that, his health has always been almost suspiciously perfect for a teenager. I'm in quarantine with an immune-compromised person so going to the vet has been difficult. So I'm finally breaking quarantine tomorrow. That sucks. But my cat had a seizure, maybe? He was sleeping, and then stumbled off of the edge of my bed, yowling as if he was terrified. He has always seemed to have vivid dreams so that's not that extreme to me. Surprising, sure, but he couldn't walk straight for a couple minutes after. He also seemed terrified of me at first before melting into me, purring, as if he couldn't recognize me at first. I already know serious diseases are on the table, especially at his age, but if anyone has had experiences like this, let me know, regardless of how it turned out.

That is good he is going into the vet, they hopefully will be doing full bloodwork and everything. Sometimes with seizures, it is that you have to basically wait and see when the next one happens to know how to proceed. It is important to note how frequently they occur, how long they last, and recovery time. Please let us know what the vet says!

Although this could have been a really rough nightmare, I think you are wise to have him checked. The difficulty walking is a bit concerning, as it is unusual in those cases...although not impossible. Let us know what your vet says!

And STAY SAFE!
