My 5 month old kitten recently was suffering from panleukopenia, he took 10 days to recover and on the 10th day he started to eat. However it has been a week and he is still having difficulty to balance . I was wondering if he will recover from this or not

Welcome to The Cat Site; however, I am sorry that your kitten had this disease. You are to be given a lot of credit for seeing him through this and getting treatment. Five months is considered by some to be the "cut off" for successful treatment in kittens, meaning that up to that time, the outcome can be unsure. Since your kitten is only 5 months, I would keep in touch with the vet about anything that does not seem right. Is he eating and regaining strength, balance aside, using the litter box normally?

Balance issues or shaking can sometimes be remaining side effect in kittens. We can't say if he will recover or not, hopefully he will though. Keep the vet posted and if anything seems to be going badly, get him back in.
