After a much to long update, I decided to post! Our three indoor cats and the three outside feral cats (including Ravel) got to know each other from our house windows. So, about two years ago we decided to bring the ferals inside (after Vet checks for all) using big dog cages for the ferals. It went much better than expected,,, but not ideal. Raven was not a litter mate with the other kittens. She was about 6 months younger (we think they all had the same mother). ... From earlier "TheCatSite" posts.... . Feb. 9,2020: After working with Ravel for weeks, I finally got her to sleep in the "cat shed" with her two older sisters. ... April 19,2020: All three played in the warm back yard grass. Raven loved taking naps in the grass more than the other two. ... Feb. 21,2021: The cats have been moved indoors for about two years and it's been very good for the most part. Raven has slowly become stand offish with the other sibs, spends hours just looking out at the back yard, low growling when the indoor cats get near, and sleeps more often. ... SOOOO, Cheri and I talked and I went out and swept out the the "cat shed", cleaned out her old foam box bed and added straw, toys, and a water dish. I tried to make it as much like it was when she called it home. ... It has been about two or three weeks since her move to back outside living. Seeing Raven making biscuits when see's laying in her grass maybe making the move was the right thing to do !?!?!?.

Our outside (again) little Miss Raven, Is doing quite well! During the last 3 weeks (or so) she has run off 3 cats (that we know of) with out any hesitation. She patrols our back yard mostly from sun down to sun up. I feed her at 6 AM every morning a small bowls of soft canned food and dry food, along with a larger bowl of fresh water. At 8:30 PM every evening she gets the same foods to fill her belly for her " night patrols". ... She stops by our computer window sill for a good night cat snack also. ... All in all, she's seems really happy being back outside in the place wear she was born!

Thank you for the update. I am happy to know that Raven is doing well and happy in her outside safe place.

This morning, Ravel was a no show for breakfast (M.I.A. at 6:00 AM, 8/12/2024). This happens with farel kitties! Our "Sunshine Boy" never returned back home, and little "Star Baby" returned back home after a 3 month M.I.A.! ...We'll wait and see.

Raven is back home ( about 7:30 PM, 8/12/2024 )! She gets fed at 8:30. Hmmm,,, home just in time for her supper! I went out to the "Cat Shed" to close the doors and window screen, and she was curled up in her nest and seems quit sleepy. Maybe some canned meat and dry food will perk her up!

Whew! So glad she made it back home safely. Caring for an outdoor feral cat is always filled with lots of worry! Hopefully she stays put now.
