Hi. If you can get a referral to an internal medicine specialist, I would strongly advise you so that. He will most likely need a feeding tube ( not as bad as it sounds) placed, that way you can bypass the mouth and feed enough food without traumatizing him or risking causing pain or aspiration. It is a 5 minute procedure that saves cats lives.
