You cat has the nocturnal crazies, which are fairly normal with cats. I sleep thru anything so mine don't bother me, but I have heard that feeding them late and playing with them hard before bed time will help them sleep thru the night.

My cat Lucky who is now 16/17 has always had a mad-hour during the night. I've never really tried to check it so I can't offer any cure unfortunatley.
Even now as an old arthritic cat he still gets up in the middle of the night to teach the toy mouse who's boss. As a younger cat he'd race around the house like a carzy thing, causing a commotion and knocking things about. Eventually I just got used to it and would turn over and go back to sleep.
