Opie Strikes Again

Little Ronnie Howard grew up to be such a great director. I just saw "Frost / Nixon," and it is a perfect film. It could not have been done better. I urge everyone to see it immediately, and to take along your teenagers. If this doesn't demonstrate to them the power and fascination of history, nothing will!

And y'know... until now, I had never recognized the parallels between Nixon's invasion of Cambodia and Bush II's invasion of Iraq. History really does repeat itself.

I saw an interview with Opie, er, Ron Howard a few weeks back where he talked about the film. It does sound fascinating and I've asked DH to take me on a date to see it. Now I have more ammo to insist that I get that date!
