Hi! I have kittens who are about 11 days old now and they all have their eyes open but I went to check on them today and I noticed that one of the kittens eye is shut and won’t open. Should I be concerned? Has this happened to anyone?

It may be that his eye got scratched and/or has an infection in it. Give your vet a call and talk to them about having the kitten checked out.

Wipe the eye gently with a warm soft cloth soaked in cooled black tea. It may just be crusted shut. Wipe throughout the day. If you see green or yellow pus the kitten will need terramycin antibiotic eye ointment to clear it.
