He is great in public. He has a solid temperament. However, he is protective when he needs to be, the great thing is he can and does discriminate REAL threats vs. the fake. The Dobermans I was raised with and the Dobermans I know now are this way.

I have two. That is a good number for the household. I think one day we will have three, but two is a good number when you are active with them, we feel like soccer mom's some days going to all of their events.

But it brings everyone a lot of happiness. This working breed is VERY happy to have a "job".
