To mark our 2 year anniversary, we wanted to try something different, so we’re doing the exact opposite of the original inspiration for the book club.
For this month only, instead of us all reading the same book, everyone can choose to read any book he or she likes. It can be fiction or non-fiction, one you’ve never read before, or an old favourite that you’d like to read again. Basically the sky, or rather the book store, library, or your personal book shelf, is the limit.
The reading period will be October 1st to October 21st, with discussion commencing on October 22nd. Since participants will be reading different books, this month’s discussion will also be different, so we’ll be providing questions to help members critique the book they chose.
Everyone is invited to be part of this month’s unique book club experience, and although we’d love for all our fellow readers to join us every month, the book club is designed so members can opt in, or out, whenever they wish. So participating in October won’t commit you to future months. You will, however, always be welcome to join us again at any time.
Think that covers everything, however, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask.
Meanwhile start thinking about what book you’re going to read in October.
And if you're ready to join us sooner than October, here's our September book club thread.
