I'm sure most of you know that it's perfectly safe to consume some (not all) medicines and foods after they've passed their expiration date. Other medicines and foods should be thrown away or they could make you ill. I have a tube of Nutri-Stat (like Nutri-Cal but with omega fatty acids) and it has an expiration of 12/08. Is it still safe to use? It's been stored in a cool place.

I wouldn't use it so many months after the expiration date. Even if not spoiled, the vitamins in it are probably not as potent anymore.

Thanks. I tried calling the company that makes it but I got their answering machine. I guess I'll just have to buy more. I like keeping a tube on hand for emergencies.
