Needing to Hydrate Fast!! She's not attending to kittens, removed
litter laced her lips with tiny amount of sugar, hasn't eaten today that I can see, very hot summer day! plus my mistake to much bedding in with her :( force fed some
moist food she was very warm cooled her off slowly with
water going into cool night is getting better- gums discolored
*took her a day for last placenta to pass* blood loss during this time
now she's OK very little discharge worst is over *hoping* just needing fluids managing
with big plastic eye droppers still won't drink on own. Kitten's are cared for by other
female cat who volunteered. Should I offer mom cat pedialyte or NO stay away from salt
or tuna juice at this time? Just keep on with plain water and sugar water...
plus moist food non stop until she's regained more strength? She has milk
to supply kittens...

Pedialyte is verygood if you haveit. If not water with glucose sugar and a trifle salt.

What sugar do you use so far? Why do you write no salt?

You seem to handle this emergen
Well.

back fire make matters worse depending on situation how dehydrated serious the
situation. Just being cautious thanks for the thumbs Up will make some up for her!

She refused to touch even tuna the others want to roll me for it...

She may also need calcium. See if she will take some KMR.

Did she eat the placentas? If so, they do supply nutrition.

Hoping she feels better soon!

Pyometra Took 3 days to pass alll placentas lots of blood loss she's very petite, very dehydrated- She received sub Q's plus antibiotic shot, extra kitty hygiene treatment @ home. She was back eating looked fab again within a day.
Still removed from kits, they're all thriving. :clap2:

From google:
In its simplest terms, pyometra is an infection in the uterus. Pyometra is considered a serious and life threatening condition that must be treated quickly and aggressively. "Pyometra is a secondary infection that occurs because of hormonal changes in the female's reproductive tract."

FYI: If the vet diagnosed her with pyometra, the only way to be sure it is completely gone is a spay surgery.

Are you planning to spay after she is done nursing? Can you keep her away from intact males until then?

WoW - you did a good job helping your cat during the emergency. And very good idea to give the babies to another mama kitty. You are a blessing for your cat.
