Colanders. I know, it odd but I have a whole cubboard shelf devoted to them, and they do all get used thruout the year. Yet every time I see them in the store and a size I don’t have, I am tempted.

Lego sets. Nothing else can be built then destroyed then rebuilt into something else so many different ways.
I've been trying to downsize, so not collecting things anymore. But I used to collect Bon Jovi cds, particularly CD singles that would include rarities, like unreleased songs. Course now almost anything can be found online.
When I was still physically going into work it would be colors of nail polish. I would have enough that with doing my nails weekly I could go several months without repeating a color.
Plants and flowers. I am not one for stuff that collects dust so I don’t bother with things around the house.
Skeins of yarn
Yarn, pottery glazes, globes (the only thing I collect)
That is a good one for me too ( but dangerous) I also try used as well. The library and kindle if I can get a really, really good deal. Kindle is not my favorite for cookbooks, but if it is one that I know I love then it can be the cheapest format.They have gotten SO expensive.
