I was petting my cat's paw this morning and felt something sharp. On closer inspection he has a very teeny-tiny nail that is growing from the nail bed, on top of the main claw. He goes in monthly to have his nails trimmed so he'll be seeing the vet in a couple weeks and we'll be addressing this, but just curious if anyone else has experienced this and, if so, if you have any information to share. I tried to get a picture, but it's so very, very thin and he has excessively floofy paws. :) Thanks!

It might be the sheath of the claw coming off. Sometimes they can poke out at odd angles when they're shedding. Let us know what the vet says!

Thanks for the reply. It doesn't actually even look like a claw in that regard as it's so extremely thin...but I'll post after he sees the vet in a couple weeks. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be bothering him.
