Not a whole lot of changes. Cece comes out of her room every morning for some interaction, she will sit under the table and meow until I walk over to her. She then rubs all over the desk legs and chair legs purring. She is very happy to see me but still does not want my hands anywhere near her. If I dangle my hand or just let it rest in her sight she will instantly walk a bit away and then lifts her paw. I noticed when she is nervous that she lifts that paw. She has her routine but once in a while she will change it up for a day. This girl is so full of love but just doesn’t know how to fully accept it. She is a beautiful and sweet firl so I am lucky to have her. Here is a pic from this morning

She has made tremendous improvements!

Poor sweet baby. You and your husband are so wonderful being so patient with her. Since she rubs against the chair leg maybe you could attach a brush to it for her to brush herself with? I've seen different types for sale and even dyi ones. I also like the one Tabbytom has. For many years Gypsy wouldn't allow us to love on her unless she was in her box or box lid (like a paper box lid) then we could cuddle and caress.
Did you locate a vet? Were you able to get her into the crate? It is so frustrating for you two knowing she has so much love to give but is too afraid to show it, hang in there we're rooting for you.

Thank you for the kind words I never thought to attach a brush, great idea as that is her favorite place to rub against.
We did get her in the crate and to the vet thankfully, she was all shaved nice and clean. She was a bit unsettled when she got home but was actually rubbing against my legs the next morning. I feel that she knows I am a safety net for her and seeks me when she is scared. She really is such a sweet girl and hopefully one day she will accept the love completely, but at least she is comfortable here and is doing very good.

This is a wonderful UPdate and I'm so glad she is more comfortable. Cats are very intelligent and their memories are long, but she knows she has a defender and protector in you. Keep up the great work! She's lovely.
