New pet 'rescue' help when battered women leave home

Just read today that a new group has started up and acts as a shelter for pets when women have to leave home but don't want to leave their pets.

Unfortunately I don't know now where I saw it (it's Canadian) but the idea really seemed terrific, so if anyone is thinking along similar lines and can do a start up, probably with others, it would be a great idea, if for lousy reasons.

I know someone who can benefit from this info. Thank you! Sending it to her. I had previously searched for this very kind of thing for someone a year or more back and when they finally found a place it helped them. I hope more and more places are out there. For anyone in this kind of situation, I hope they can get out.

Having been an emergency 'minder' for a couple of pets long ago (and hoper that I'd never need same service) it just struck me as such a good thing to know about... and glad to know such places exist. But now going bk to sleep, maybe til noon !
