Hi. I just got a new oven and pamphlet says the "new oven burn" (you're supposed to run a new oven at high temps for an hour, 3 or more times to burn off oil/ chemicals from stove elements) is very toxic/even deadly to birds.
I know cats are different, but I'm really worried about doing this since I live in a small apartment and my cat is indoors.
I'll open windows/run fans, of course, but my question is:
Has anyone's indoor cat gotten Ill because of this? Or have you gotten I'll? I may be able to take her to another house, but she's an EXTREME Siamese Drama Queen, and even being in a carrier is so stressful for her, I'm not sure which would be worse. (And I mean REALLY stressful..you've never heard anything like it. Lol).
Anyone have experience with this "New oven burn"?
Thank you
