Hello! I just purchased a self-cleaning litter box for my cat Kofi since I live in a small apartment and concealing smells is crucial. It's the Scoopfree model and uses the crystals, and I think he's afraid of them so far. Would it be beneficial to put some waste from the old litter box in the new one? I've picked him up and placed him in, put catnip and treats in there and he still won't use it. It's been a few days. Thank you!

Do you think it's the litter or the actual litter box that's the problem? You could try putting the crystal litter in his regular litter box to get him used to it instead of having two major changes at once.
