So my cat, Soup, got spayed a little over a week ago and I was just looking here to see tips on when to remove the cone of shame. Seemed like a fun community so I figure I'd join to share my experiences with people like myself! Enough about me though
Soup is a little over a year old, and I got her just as a kitten. She is himalayan and maine coon, so she is a ball of fluff, as seen in the pictures.
She isn't a lap cat, but jumps on my chest every morning when I wake up to give/get a lot of love. Her favourite toys are little plastic springs, and she is the boss of the dog with whom we live. Very friendly to everyone else, and the only time I have ever heard her hiss was at the water during her first bath
PS. She knows she isn't supposed to be up there. Rebel without a cause
