Thank you so much!!! yes, I just can't get over how great she looks. I just stare at her and tell her how amazing she is and she is looking gorgeous haha! She seems mildly annoyed, as always lol. Sometimes she will give a sweet snuggle back

Lil Sof did SO WELL with her chemo!! The oncologist just loves her! Says she looks really great! ‍ she did have to hang out a lil longer there cause of our work schedules. BUT, when she got home... she PIGGED OUT she is just a tad out of it because they did have to use mild sedation, but nothing different from ultrasounds or scans. She will likely be back to normal tomorrow AM I know the next fews days could turn rough. But we got her on Cerenia already and mirtazapine at the ready!

Well, yesterday/last night Sofie was deff experiencing some nausea. Lip smacking, even licked the kitchen floor. She was at 70 Cals by dinner, and then threw up. Ugh. I took the advice of my oncologist and used the mirtazapine. I used a very small amount. I am surprised at how much they say to use and just don't even know how that would fit on her ear lol.

So GLAD I only used a small amount!!!! My precious queen has turned into a PIG. Like huge pig!!!! she is keeping it all down! She has NEVER in her life finished an entire 1/4 cup of kibble in a day. Less than 24hrs, gone. Every peice that mirtazapine is crazy!!!

So besides the stressful Friday, which is currently a 180, we are doing very well!!! More to come next week when she gets her CBC!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SOFIE!!!! ‍ Sofie is 12 today!!!!

She breezed thru her quick vet visit (went to PCP who is much closer than the hospital) for her CBC draw. Like it was nothing! She is a brave kitty!! So lovely!! AND, most importantly, ALL her blood counts are purrfect! Right in the middle of normal across the board!! Huge relief for Mum over here!!

She is still eating very well, dare I cautiously say 'too well' ... I guess I will take these days while we have them. She has always been picky, so I am sure we will go back to that soon. I've read some folks get a few days to even a week of increased appetite after mirtazapine. I am still in shock with how well that stuff works!

Happy 12th Birthday Sofie! I am so glad she is feeling better and hope it continues to improve. Great blood test results as well as her breezing through blood draw at the vet's.

Well, our lil gal had round 2 of chemo last Monday, Sept 30th. Handled like a champ again!! Because we had more of an idea of how things will go, we used the mirtaz a lil earlier, and a bit less lol. It went purrfect! She seemed to feel better very quickly and hadn't regressed. She is doing great!!

Because her CBC came back so good before, and then again day of chemo, oncologist said we can skip it this round good news for our girl! Sofie just jumps right back into kitty life after coming home from the vet, but certainly down to have less visits lol

She has not lost any weight, toileting very well and normal. Just doing everything great! No lost whiskers either! Here is lil babe just sitting pretty
