Vet not available until Tuesday. I don't think he has until Tuesday. Obsidian was born 4 days in a litter of 5 kittens. He was the biggest, the second born. The first born died immediately but him and the other three are still alive. He was doing perfectly fine until around 11:30pm last night. Suddenly he stopped eating. Then he got lethargic and weak. Following some advice we've rubbed honey on his gums and that does perk him up. He had that done every five minutes for a while until he seemed to stabilize then again every thirty minutes. He's starting to falter again, and he never started eating again. He's being drip fed as recommended so he's not starving but he's gained no weight since last night. Sometimes he's lively and sometimes he's lethargic. His symptoms are lack of appetite, weakness especially in hind legs, blood sugar drops. Please, anything at all would be so appreciated.

Do you have access to real glucose sugar / dextrose?? This is even better than honey...

Keep him warm - if you have IR lamp its good. Massage him all over. Talk to him, sing...

I notice you have named him. Good. It makes it easier to pray for him.

Im not sure a vet can do much, still if you DO have any access to a good vet - a vet is what to try with.
At home proceed with home remedies... With any luck he may pull through.

How is it going??? Sorrowfully, its quite common some of the kittens just dont make it... One of the reasons life is such a precious gift...

Your kittens could have possible Panluk and must be seen at a vet immediately or they could pass. Im in rescue (30 yrs) and have seen this too many times sadly and its highly contagous. Also will linger in the house for up to a year so any new cats coming in that are NOT vaccinated could get it
